Understand who Maran was and how he touched so many so many lives
The Maran Heritage Center has been operating since Maran’s last illness, and at that time engaged in spiritual activities among the public for his healing, such as receiving receipts and reading the Psalms. Immediately after Maran’s horrible death on the third day of Heshvan 1774, the organization began to spread his way and his legacy in a huge chain of projects, which is followed by a large public to this day. The organization’s clear goal is: that Maran’s legacy and halachic way will be and remain here even in two hundred years , with the same intensity as it was in Maran’s life.
The organization is headed by Rabbi Eliyahu Daniel Ozan, who receives the full backing of the First Zionist and Chief Rabbi of Israel Maran Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef Shalita – author of the books “Yalkot Yosef”, who stated that all his activities are done for the sake of heaven without any interest
Our projects appeal to all sectors, both to the Abarach public and members of the Yeshiva by publishing books and creating discussions and negotiations on Maran’s teachings in the “Maran Heritage Forum”, and to the general public, by creating and distributing different materials from Maran’s teachings, such as “The Daily Study In Maran’s Torah”, “Maran would say”, the publication of “Sabbath Times” according to Maran’s method, the publication of topical laws, and our flagship “Maran Heritage Site” which serves as a huge archive on the great figure of Maran, and preserves the vigilance of the public to Maran’s teachings By topical matters, such as by Torah lessons from rabbis who follow his halachic path, publishing video clips and documents about Maran related to today’s events, etc.
The Maran Heritage Center also provides services for clarifying halakhos according to Maran’s rulings, whether through the “Search Halachah by Word” application, and through the “Ask the Rabbi” project, where you can get answers from human rabbis ruling according to the rulings of Maran
The center also cooperates with another association, which together hold the holy mark of Maran.
We don’t forget the children either, they are our future generation, and we also run an experiential program on Maran in the Torah Talmud – for boys, as well as in the schools – for girls.
Every year on Maran’s Remembrance Day, the Maran Heritage Center broadcasts a special video from the Holy Zion for long hours. During the broadcast, rabbis and close associates come to Maran during his lifetime, and tell about his character, what we can take from him, and how we can continue his path, instill it in our hearts, and pass it on to future generations.
We have many dreams and wonderful plans for the production of additional future projects. As a model of a global enterprise for exams on Maran books, while providing scholarships to learners and examinees.
In the year 2022, we opened our international department at Siata Dashmia, in order to spread Maran’s teachings and legacy to various communities abroad.
